ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENTAL GOVERNANCE
Glosrose are committed to a programme of constant monitoring and updating and the improvement of working practices and the working environment for their staff, customers and contractors through the introduction of specific policies, measures and targets.
Recent and on-going projects:
Glosrose aims to improve the sustainability performance across all aspects of its business and incorporates environmental best practices into their annual plans and business processes.
Electricity
reduce greenhouse gas emissions by converting to LED lighting throughout the administration offices with all electrical appliances upgraded to have a high Energy Star rating.
Water
close monitoring of water usage. Over a three month period this initiative resulted in a significant leak being detected and rectified.
Waste and recycling
By changing waste supplier and introducing additional recycling bins for paper and cardboard, waste going to landfill has been reduced by 10%
Fuel
by effectively managing vehicle trackers across the fleet of company vehicles, journey times have been reduced and the number of journeys reduced.
Electric vehicles
A long-term rolling programme of company vehicle upgrades to achieve 100% electric vehicles continues. The majority of company cars are now electric.
Electric charging points have been installed for staff and visitors.
Reduce environmental impact
reusable food containers ,cups, glasses, plates, and silverware available in all staffrooms
Only print when necessary, administration processes have been streamlined to eliminate paper-based waste.
Environment
To be a thoughtful neighbour. Wild life, habitats, flora and fauna, are protected and enhanced in our rural setting .
