Bobcat
Years of Experience
From the evolution of the world’s first true skid steer loader the Bobcat brand has diversified its portfolio and in 2021 Bobcat acquired Doosan Industrial vehicles. With an ever growing range, Bobcat now offers solutions for any job site.
Bobcat Forklifts (formerly Doosan)
Bobcat forklifts bring the former Doosan forklift line under the Bobcat brand, with the transition announced in 2023 and rolling out through 2024. Glosrose supports the current Bobcat range and legacy Doosan units with the same engineering depth, parts access, and on‑site know‑how. Before we recommend a truck, we run an aisle (AST) check, test turning at the tightest doorway, and note your steepest ramp and dock height. We cover Kent, Surrey, Sussex and London with site visits, quotes and delivery. If you want a quick recommendation, tell us your loads, lift heights and site conditions, and we will build a clear specification and quote.
Skip trial-and-error, get a spec that fits your site, and keep shifts productive.
Which Bobcat Forklift Do I need?
Choose by environment, duty and fuelling plan. We match power type to how your team works, then confirm the aisle widths, gradients and turning space so the truck fits the route.
Electric forklifts (indoor and low‑emission sites)
- Where they shine: clean floors, aisle work, noise limits and indoor air quality rules.
- Practical checks: shift length, charging location, battery change space, floor gradients and doorway heights. We also confirm charger supply (single‑ or three‑phase), cable runs, parking for charging windows and cold‑store temperatures that affect battery performance.
- What you gain: low emissions indoors, predictable running costs and quieter operation. An electric forklift suits low‑emission indoor shifts.
LPG forklifts (mixed indoor/outdoor)
- Where they shine: long runs, quick refuel and mixed environments with good ventilation.
- Practical checks: cylinder storage location, change‑over process, ventilation rules, ramp frequency and door thresholds. We confirm regulator type and advise on cage siting, so swaps are safe and fast.
- Operational impact: flexible shifts, minimal refuel downtime and steady performance across zones. An LPG forklift keeps runs long with quick refuels.
Diesel forklifts (outdoor and heavy duty)
- Where they shine: yards, uneven surfaces, gradients, heavy loads and frequent attachments.
- Practical checks: tyre tread selection, surface condition, weather exposure and service access. On dusty sites, we specify protective filtration and cooling packages; on long gradients, we set mast and travel limits to protect the truck and the load.
- Why it helps: strong traction outdoors, reliable lift on gradients and robust uptime. A diesel forklift delivers traction on yards and ramps.
Unsure on power type? Send your load & shift details and we’ll reply with a spec.
Set-up that works on site
We keep selection simple. We confirm the basics and set a specification that is right for your site.
Capacity bands: from light warehouse pallets to heavy yard work (model dependent). We align ratings to the assumed load centre on your pallets.
Masts: duplex for lower lift points; triplex for higher racking and dock work. We set free lift and collapsed height to clear doors and mezzanines.
Tyres: cushion for smooth floors; pneumatic or treaded for yards and ramps. We match tread and compound to surface and duty.
Add‑ons: side‑shift, fork positioners, blue lights, cameras and cold‑store packages. We recommend add‑ons only where they add value.
Attachments: forks, buckets, jibs and sweepers. We confirm hydraulic flows and coupler compatibility.
Quick Scenario Guide
For tight aisles, a reach truck may beat a counterbalance forklift on height and turning.
| Scenario | Recommended Bobcat | Key checks | Why it helps |
| Narrow‑aisle warehouse | Electric counterbalance, reach or warehouse trucks | Aisle width at pallet overhang, top bay height, floor condition | Higher storage density, clean operation and controlled handling |
| Cross‑dock with indoor/outdoor work | LPG counterbalance | Door heights, ventilation rules, shift pattern and refuel plan | Flexible across zones with minimal downtime |
| Yard, ramps and uneven ground | Diesel counterbalance with pneumatic tyres | Surface condition, gradients, fork length, mast height | Stable handling, strong traction and reliable outdoor lift |

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Doosan forklifts now Bobcat?
Yes. The former Doosan forklift line transitioned to the Bobcat brand in 2023–2024. We support both legacy Doosan units and current Bobcat models.
Which power type should I choose?
Electric suits indoor and low‑emission sites. LPG fits mixed indoor/outdoor work with quick refuel. Diesel suits outdoor heavy duty. Tell us the load, height, environment and shifts, and we will recommend the best fit.
Can you help with attachments and add‑ons?
Yes. We supply forks, positioners, cameras, blue lights and cold‑store packages, and we confirm hydraulic and coupler compatibility.
Do you offer hire as well as sales?
Yes. We arrange short‑term and contract hire and provide full servicing support. See our Hire page.
What about servicing and compliance?
Our in‑house engineers maintain equipment and manage LOLER schedules. See our Servicing page.
